Overpayments and Claims
7 CFR ยง 273.18(a)(1)
Overpayments occur when an EDG:
- received more benefits than they were eligible to receive; or
- has been found to have trafficked benefits.
Overpayments are discovered through potential sources such as, but not limited to:
- Automated resources
- Case management
- FNS referrals from retailer trafficking evidence
- Information reported by the EDG or other sources
- Quality Control review findings
