Mass Changes - Changes to eligibility or benefits on all SNAP cases, or a large number of cases, based on State or Federal government regulations or laws. The change is effective at the same time for all cases.


ME - Management Evaluation


Meal Delivery Services - A nonprofit meal delivery service authorized by FNS to provide meals to any member of an eligible EDG who is 60 years of age or older, or disabled, and unable to prepare their meals. The spouse of the aged or disabled EDG member may also purchase meals from the meal delivery service, regardless of age or disability.


Means-Tested Programs - Federal, State or local programs providing benefits to low-income individuals, such as, but not limited to:


Mechanic's Lien - A security interest in the title to property for the benefit of those who supplied labor or materials that built, improved or repaired the property.


Medicaid - A program financed by State and Federal governments designed to provide health coverage to individuals who are unable to afford regular medical services.


Migrant Farmworker - An individual who temporarily leaves a principal place of residence in another state to come to Connecticut to accept seasonal employment in the planting, cultivating, raising, harvesting, handling, drying, packing, packaging, processing, freezing, grading or storing of any agricultural or horticultural commodity in its unmanufactured state. Monthly Entitlement - The amount of the benefit the EDG would receive if the IPV disqualified person was included in the EDG.


MyAccount - A personal account through ConneCT providing various DSS online services, such as:

  • Applications
  • Change reporting
  • Pre-screening for program eligibility
  • Renewals
  • Uploading documents and verifications
